Kitchen renovations are always exciting. No two are ever exactly alike. And when it comes to kitchen makeovers, one size – and one style – simply doesn’t fit all. Instead, reputable designers will always listen carefully to their clients, explore their different ideas and make sure they help them to create the room of their dreams. From interiors bloggers and reality TV stars to Olympic champions, these kitchens clearly demonstrate a long, illustrious list of satisfied customers who have benefitted from a Caple heart of the home.
But with so much choice available, sometimes the hardest part of choosing a new kitchen is precisely that – the choice. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by all the different available furniture ideas. With so many different styles, colours, finishes and features to decide on, a major project such as this needs plenty of planning – and expert input. To help, our Furniture Manager Doug has put together an overview of four of our newest kitchen collections: Felton, Woodford, Pensford and Langley.
Shaker kitchen ideas have never been more popular and it’s not hard to understand why. This style is simple, yet striking, incorporating effortless design features and a high level of craftsmanship. In short, Shaker kitchens are a true classic. This timeless aesthetic never goes out of style, yet can still manage to look fresh and contemporary. Shaker kitchens are instantly recognisable, thanks to their distinctive framed panel doors and clean, uncluttered lines.
Our new Felton is the epitome of affordable Shaker design. It features a mock in-frame style, that replicates the look of a true in-frame kitchen, but at a more affordable price point. Our Felton furniture incorporates a smooth, matt painted finish and you can choose from 21 different PTO (Paint To Order) shades. This makes it a super-versatile choice. The colours you choose are the perfect way to give this classic style a more contemporary twist. You could even mix and match your palette for a truly personalised design.
The Felton, from our Shaker collection, showcases a spacious central island in deliciously dark Ink, with contrasting Light Grey wall units – perfect if your ideal kitchen ideas include a roomy breakfast bar and plenty of practical storage!

If your favourite kitchen ideas involve getting creative with colour, get ready to be wowed by our new Woodford furniture. This Shaker-style design allows you to pick our Bespoke Colour Option, in addition to the seven standard shades available. This is a wonderful way to add some personality to your cabinetry with bold/bright hues. Or why not experiment with more classic colours, such as blue? Our Woodford kitchen features a 20mm super-skinny, solid ash frame, for a contemporary twist on the classic Shaker style.
If the Woodford isn’t for you, or you’re keen to explore other painted kitchen ideas, we now offer a Bespoke Painted Colour service for all our in-frame furniture collections, including Sutton, Harptree and Winford. This means we can match your chosen kitchen to any paint manufacturer’s colour swatch. We also offer a prime and paint service for these in-frame kitchen designs. If you choose this option, your furniture is supplied in a sanded finish, allowing you to prime and paint the doors yourself in any colour you choose.
The Woodford PTO kitchen, from the Shaker collection, features Graphite cupboards paired with a central island featuring a bespoke colour
Yet another way to add a contemporary element to a classic Shaker kitchen is a matt finish. Gloss has been hugely popular but, in response to customer demand, matt kitchen ideas are really on the rise. These contrasting finishes each have their own advantages, so it comes down to a question of personal choice. The main benefits of matt are that it’s durable and scratch-resistant. And because this sort of finish absorbs light – rather than reflects it – it creates a consistently smooth, even appearance regardless of the time of day.
A matt look tends to be more subtle, so it’s a good choice if your dream kitchen is all about understated elegance. Our new Pensford Shaker kitchen collection features super-matt vinyl doors in a mock in-frame style that replicates the look of a true in-frame kitchen. However, it will cost you less than the real thing. This finish can be less likely to show marks and fingerprints than some other options, so it tends to be lower maintenance. This kitchen is available in 14 colours.

Minimalist kitchen ideas continue to be popular with designers and homeowners. So, we anticipate a lot of interest in our new Langley Slab collection. This name refers to the furniture’s Slab door style. This type features a completely flat panel, with no raised or recessed features.
Deep, dark paint finishes also add impact. Slab kitchens don’t just look amazing, they are practical too. As there are no crevices for dust and dirt to accumulate in, they are easy to clean and maintain.
Our Langley kitchen furniture, from the Slab collection, features an ash grain painted veneer for a textured-effect finish. There are 17 standard colours available, in addition to our Bespoke Painted Colour service. This design features Bone and Twilight, an ultra-dark shade of blue, for a contemporary aesthetic
