Tiffany Watson: Made In Chelsea star’s stunning kitchen makeover

January 13, 2022
Categories: ,

Made In Chelsea’s Tiffany Watson is no stranger to the finer things in life. So, it’s no surprise that she chose a selection of Caple appliances for her recent kitchen makeover.

It’s been a busy year for Tiffany, one of Made In Chelsea’s most popular cast members, despite (temporarily) waving goodbye to the King’s Road in 2017. Fans were delighted when she returned to the show, although there will be no more must-watch dating drama sagas.

In October, Tiffany announced her engagement to footballer Cameron McGeehan, who proposed during a romantic Parisian mini-break. Earlier this year, the couple bought a flat, which they have been renovating together. This is despite splitting their time between West London and Belgium, where Cameron plays for First Division A club Oostende. And, as if that’s not enough to keep them busy, the happy couple have recently adopted KiKi, an adorable golden retriever pup, from Many Tears Animal Rescue.

Tiffany’s kitchen vision

Food and cooking are important elements in Tiffany Watson’s life. So, while her new kitchen looks stunning, it’s certainly not for show.

Tiffany’s kitchen vision

Tiffany became vegan two years ago. She has even launched a vegan line of accessories, stationery and personalised pieces called ThreeSixFive. Despite her super busy schedule and regular Belgium commutes, Tiffany still finds time to entertain. She was heavily involved in the creative process for her new kitchen, and enjoys experimenting with vegan culinary creations.

A true transformation: How Tiffany Watson’s kitchen looked before its makeover

“I would describe my style as classic, clean and minimalistic,” Tiffany explains. “I chose the kitchen colour scheme and was very involved in the overall design. And I knew I wanted gunmetal grey with dark appliances/features.”

Her advice to anyone else embarking on a kitchen renovation is to create lots of mood boards and get plenty of samples. “Don’t necessarily follow trends as they may not last very long,” she says and adds: “Go with what suits your overall taste and lifestyle.”

Ideal for entertaining

Tiffany Watson equipped her kitchen with our C2403GM Electric Pyrolytic Gunmetal Oven, complemented by the CM111GM Built-In Gunmetal Combination Microwave and WD140GM Gunmetal Warming Drawer. The C2403GM features a handy, labour-saving self-cleaning option, while the combination microwave can even be used as second oven, for maximum versatility. It’s turntable-free too, which means it can accommodate larger dishes in the cavity. This makes it perfect when Tiffany and Cameron are cooking for a crowd.

Pairing a single oven and a combination microwave like this creates a versatile bank of appliances. They both look amazing and provide easy access to dishes

Have the happy couple hosted a big engagement party at home yet? “We’ve had lots of mini celebrations with friends and family in the kitchen since we’ve returned [from Paris],” Tiffany reveals. “Everyone is so excited for us, which is so nice to be around. Olivia from Made In Chelsea has been over, as well as my sister Lucy, of course! They both love the new kitchen.”

Tiffany adores her new ovens. However, she admits that her favourite appliance is, without a doubt, our Wi3125GM Undercounter Gunmetal Single Zone Wine Cabinet.

“My favourite product is definitely my wine fridge!” she laughs. “I’ve always wanted one, and it’s definitely something people ‘ooh’ at when they come over to visit.” This chic, compact wine cabinet features easy-slide beech shelves. It uses no-frost compressor cooling technology to ensure Tiffany’s favourite rosés are always served at the perfect temperature.

In praise of open plan

Tiffany Watson spent a lot of time planning the layout and footprint of her new kitchen. “What I like most about my new kitchen is that it’s all open plan, which is my favourite way to cook/host,” she explains.

In praise of open plan

Instead of an island, Tiffany Watson chose a space-saving peninsula, fitted with our sleek, chic C864iGM Induction Hob.

Initially, Tiffany had set her heart on a stand-alone kitchen island. But she eventually chose a peninsula layout instead, to make better use of the available space. It’s a decision that worked really well. “The best thing about entertaining in the kitchen is that our hob has been built into the peninsula,” she enthuses. “It’s a very social/laid-back way of having guests over. I love being able to cook while catching up with them at the same time.”

The hob in question is our C864iGM Induction Hob, which is frameless and can be flush mounted. Our CE920WH Ceiling Hood Extractor deals with any cooking odours swiftly. This model incorporates four speeds. Other Caple appliances chosen by Tiffany include our MODE045/GM Gunmetal sink complete with the WDU050 0.5hp Waste Disposal Unit, and the Vapos2 3-in-1 Gunmetal Hot Water Tap. The latter is perfect for making tea and coffee whenever friends come to visit.

Smart and sleek

Smart and sleek

Tiffany Watson likes to keep her kitchen well stocked, which is why she originally considered our matching CAFF46GM Gunmetal French Door Fridge Freezer with extensive storage to match the rest of her gunmetal appliances.

However, upon consideration, she instead decided that one of our fully integrated models would best lend itself to the space.

So instead she opted for our fully integrated Ri7306 70/30 in-column fridge-freezer which still boasts a fridge net capacity of 180 litres,  plenty of storage space for all of her favourite food.

It also means Tiff can easily accommodate the ingredients for her most-prepared recipes. “My favourite vegan dish would definitely have to be sweet potato gnocchi, which I make from scratch with a vegan pesto dressing,” Tiffany reveals.

Washing up after dinner parties can be such a chore. This is why Tiffany chose our Di653 Fully Integrated Dishwasherto do the hard work for her. Completing the Caple appliance line-up is our WDi3301 Electronic Condenser Washer Dryer.

Concealing integrated appliances, like our Di653 Dishwasher, behind closed doors helps to create a modern, minimalist aesthetic.

The results

The results

Tiffany Watson is clearly thrilled with the final results – but the project wasn’t always plain sailing. “Cameron will say it was all very straightforward, but that’s because he didn’t organise much of it!” she laughs. “We had a nightmare when our first kitchen designer pulled out six weeks before we moved in. So, for the first month, we were living without a kitchen. Plus COVID meant that there were long lead times on things like furniture, which was a pain at times.”

Tiffany muses: “Is there anything I would have done differently? Yes – I would have put the carpets down at a later stage! I was so impatient, and now there’s some staining as the builders are still very much in the flat and doing work.” She concludes: “But now we have a puppy, so perhaps some stains were inevitable anyway!”
