Tiffany Watson: Made In Chelsea star reveals her new kitchen makeover

Categories: ,

A tremendous amount has happened since we last encountered Made in Chelsea’s Tiffany Watson (now McGeehan). Back in 2022, Tiffany was engaged to footballer Cameron McGeehan, and was busy renovating the Fulham flat they’d bought together. The happy couple were travelling back and forth between West London and Belgium, where Cameron plays for First Division A club Oostende. They’d even adopted an adorable golden retriever pup, Kiki, from Many Tears Animal Rescue.

Fast-forward 18 months and a lot has changed! In late May 2022, Tiffany Watson became Tiffany McGeehan, after marrying Cameron at St Michael and All Angels Church in Pirbright, Surry. The newlyweds bought a new house near Richmond Park in London, moving in officially last December. And in February it was proudly announced that Baby McGeehan was on the way.

Somehow, in amongst all these major life changes, Tiffany has managed to find the time to oversee another comprehensive kitchen renovation, for which she once again chose a selection of Caple appliances. Read on to learn more about the models she chose and why – and the advice she’d give to anyone else embarking on a similar project.

A new vision

Tiffany’s kitchen vision

Tiffany Watson was one of Made in Chelsea’s most popular characters. Since leaving the show, she’s been involved in a number of successful business ventures. She’s also discovered a genuine love of – and talent for – creating envy-inducing interiors. So what was her vision for her new family home kitchen?

“We wanted to be clever with storage space, and also have large spaces to hide away things, so we didn’t have much on display,” Tiffany reveals. “So it had to have a very clean look overall. I love open-plan style, and always have. The other part of our kitchen’s open-plan area is a living room, and we also have our dining table in there. It was important to create a nice, sociable layout.”

Tiffany’s new kitchen showcases a series of contemporary Caple appliances within a timeless, neutral furniture colour palette

The Tiffany Watson of old was a big fan of ultra-contemporary interiors, that were classic and minimalistic. Has marriage (and impending motherhood) changed her tastes? “This kitchen has more of a country feel to it,” she muses. “But the colour scheme means it’s still in keeping with modern design.”

Worth the wait

Kitchen Planning

Renovation works started on the new house in June 2022, almost straight after the wedding. “There was a lot of work involved in this project, as we had to build the open-plan extension area,” Tiffany reveals. “We moved in at the end of December, and the kitchen was installed and ready to use from the second week of February.”

Combining function and form

The right kitchen sink and fridge-freezer are important appliances for anyone who enjoys cooking and entertaining. Tiffany chose our CAFF46GM French Door Fridge Freezer and our Kempton Sit-on Ceramic Sink for her new home.

This spacious fridge-freezer has been designed for modern living, with flexibility in mind. It incorporates a special compartment that can act as either a fridge or a freezer, to suit any changing needs. It’s also extremely quiet, operating at just 44dB (normal conversation is 59dB), making it ideal for open-plan living.

Tiffany Watson is well known for being a keen cook and hostess, so it’s no surprise she choose such a spacious and striking fridge-freezer model for her latest kitchen project.

“Being such a keen cook, I’ve always wanted a double door fridge,” Tiffany explains. “I always keep my fridge well stocked, so to have all that space is amazing.”

Island life

Tiffany Watson chose to site her Kempton sink on her kitchen island. She partnered it with our Black Steel Basket Strainer Waste, and our WDU060 Waste Disposal Unit. “I like having my sink on the island,” notes Tiffany. “It’s so nice to look out and be sociable with anyone sitting on the bar stools opposite, while washing/preparing food, or making a drink.”

Did you know that all of our ceramic sinks are hand-finished – so no two are ever exactly alike?

Tiffany Watson’s in the zone

Other Caple appliances chosen by Tiffany include our Di482 45cm Fully Integrated Dishwasher, our BU755BK 75cm Built-Under Cooker Hood discreet extractor, and a washing machine, tumble dryer, sink and tap, which are located in the separate utility room next to the kitchen.

Tiffany’s favourite appliance of all, however, is our WC1792 In-Column Triple Zone Wine Cooler. “Our gorgeous wine cooler is such a statement piece, and always gets so many compliments from anyone who visits,” she reveals.

When you want to make a statement with your wine cabinet – go big or go home! There’s been lots of love for this model from Tiffany’s friends and family, which looks as good as it performs

This advanced, yet quiet, wine cabinet features no-frost compressor cooling technology, UV/heat-free white LED lighting, and fan circulated cool air for even temperature distribution. It can also hold up to 89 Bordeaux-style wine bottles – more than enough to celebrate the pitter-patter of tiny feet with friends and family, when the time comes!

Entertaining goals

Tiffany’s new dishwasher might be sleek and slimline, but it punches above its weight in terms of functionality. This appliance features five programmes, and incorporates a new anti-bacterial filter system. And, despite its compact size, it can still fit nine place settings, which is sure to be useful for all the entertaining that’s planned post-baby.

“My friends and family absolutely love my new kitchen!” Tiffany exclaims. “I had my mum and sister over for Mother’s Day, and they are thrilled that I’m the one now hosting.” She continues: “I won’t be having a baby shower here, but there will definitely be lots of summer parties once the weather improves. I’ve also hosted an Easter brunch with some of my Made in Chelsea girls, which was lovely.”

Planning and patience

Tiffany Watson has obviously spent a lot of time planning and poring over different kitchen designs. What advice does she have for anyone planning to live in their home while kitchen renovations are still underway? “Have lots of patience,” she laughs. “And be lucky enough to have Deliveroo in your area. We did this, or ate out. It definitely made us appreciate our new kitchen more!”
