Sense Steel: Our New Collection

October 28, 2019
Categories: ,

As metallics continue to buck the trends for the ultimate finish in the kitchen, stainless steel is one metal which has been a firm favourite among professional chefs for years. So, it was with this in mind that we recently got together to create a beautiful new cooking collection called Steel. Read on to discover our product manager Luke Shipway’s take on our exciting new collection called Steel.

There’s no doubt in my mind that stainless steel looks incredible in the kitchen. After all, this material is naturally shiny so it will instantly create a strong style statement in a cooking area. I also think this metal has timeless appeal. So, we have produced a complete set of stylish ovens and a warming drawer. We have aptly named this our Sense Steel collection. Just look at the stunning aesthetics on our steel single ovens,

which come with full touch controls. We’ve created high performance, design-led appliances with a strong contrast between this glossy metal and sleek black glass. So, aesthetically speaking, these models look beautiful and they come with an on-trend square bar handle to match. They will even coordinate with other products, such as a stylish sink and tap in the same metal.

Benefits of steel

Now, not only does this material look good but it performs brilliantly, too. So, I think this makes stainless steel the perfect choice for an ultra stylish, fully-functional hub of the home. In fact, one of the reasons why it’s so popular with chefs is that it’s durable, fire-resistant and ultra hygienic, too. In a commercial kitchen, you can imagine everything must be as clean as possible. So, stainless steel is always the preferred choice. Another benefit I like is that this material is heat resistant and it can withstand plenty of moisture, too. So, steel single ovens really could make the perfect addition to your kitchen.

I always find stainless steel pretty easy to keep clean. However, if you see any marks, just add liquid soap to a cloth soaked in warm water. This way, you’ll remove them instantly. Glass cleaner and a paper towel is an alternative way in which to keep your new appliances clean – in fact, we tend to use this method on the high performance appliances we showcase at the UK’s largest Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom show – KBB Birmingham at the NEC. However, of course we’ve added a fingerprint proof finish in our Steel collection which will instantly lessen any cleaning.

One of our new Steel single ovens, the C2402SSnot only looks stylish but it performs brilliantly too. This model is pyrolytic, which means you can benefit from your appliance literally cleaning the interior of your oven for you. I have one of these ovens in my home. In fact, after you have used this method once, you’ll never look back. Our pyrolytic cleaning programme will heat the inside of your oven reaching temperatures up to 400C. This way, you can feel confident it will reduce grease, grime and food residue to ash. All you have to do is simply wipe it away with a damp cloth. So, what could be easier?

New with Nova

Inside, you’ll find our pyrolytic Steel single oven is roomy with a 67l capacity. It’s flexible too with 14 handy functions, from our turbo eco grill to boost rapid preheat. Our oven features are varied but include our signature MotionHeat+. In fact, I find this technology fascinating. The fan draws in the hot air and recirculates it in an even motion in the cavity. This way, your dishes will reach the desired temperature more rapidly. However, there’s no need to reheat, which will save you time and money.

We have also added a new steam oven to this collection. The A-energy rated Sense combination steam model is one of my favourites. You can benefit from the best of both worlds when cooking, which makes this a versatile choice.

Our combination steam oven

If you’re looking for health benefits from your cooking, steam will fit your brief. After all, so many of us want to commit to a healthy eating regime, which is why we turn to appliances which will help us do just that. When food is cooked in this way, it retains all the moisture, vitamins and minerals, leaving it packed full with flavour. Heat from the oven turns the water in the reservoir into steam and meals will be cooked quickly and evenly. You also don’t need to use as much fat or oil either,

which of course gives you a healthier alternative. With ten functions which include descale, fan heat with steam and a turbo grill, I think our stainless steel interior reinforces the aesthetics of this model perfectly. It’s also easy to clean as you can simply wipe the interior with a damp cloth after use. There’s even an automatic de-scaler, which prevent any limescale build-up. After all, this will be crucial if you live in a hard water area.

With a soft-close hinge, I think our new C2105SS Steel single oven will suit your needs if you’re looking for a quiet, measured, closing function. This handy mechanism produces a gentle movement, which means you won’t have to worry about spoiling any delicate dishes in the oven either. I think this model not only looks good but it has a whole host of

advantages for the keen cook, too. You can choose from 13 handy functions including turbo eco grill and boost for rapid preheat. This oven also comes with our signature MotionHeat+ system with a roomy 67l capacity. You can benefit from self-cleaning catalytic liners on the back and sides, an easy clean enamel interior and removable chrome shelf racks.

If you’re working with a tight budget why not choose a Steel single oven and a matching combination microwave, our new CM110SS?

This way, you’ve got two ovens when required but you can still use this model for microwaving with ten power levels. We have created our combination microwave  to work just as well as a handy second oven with 11 functions including auto cooking and auto defrost. I find this design stylish, it’s turntable free and it even comes with eight cooking programmes, for added versatility.

I always suggest adding a warming drawer to a bank of cooking appliances as this will instantly create a more streamlined look. Not only that but our warming drawer, WD140SS, has been designed to hold dishes for a meal of up to six people, making this your number one choice for entertaining.

This model sits perfectly under our steam oven or microwave too for a neater finish. Temperature-wise, our warming drawer has a tangential fan for even heating with an adjustable 30-75C thermostat, too. I must admit I’m one for details, so I find our push-pull opening adds more luxury appeal.

All of our new Steel single ovens are A-rated for energy efficiency and come with full touch controls for a neater finish. I’m currently holding a special promotion too. So, if you buy our C2402SS pyrolytic oven or our C2105SS soft-close oven, each comes with a free Meater+ wireless smart meat thermometer. All you need to do is to make your order by the end of 2019 to be eligible.
