Why not make them for when we can entertain guests again?
25g Flaked Almonds
25g Dried Cranberries
25g Dairy Free Butter
25g Coconut Sugar
25g Maple Syrup
16g Wholemeal Flour
80g Vegan Orange Dark Chocolate
Recipe
Once the almonds have cooled, cut them with a sharp knife into fine pieces.
Then do the same with your cranberries.
Melt your dairy-free butter in the same small frying pan.
Once it’s melted stir in the coconut sugar & maple syrup. Remove the saucepan from the heat & mix in the flour until smooth.
Next, add your cranberries & nuts.
Ensure the mixture is well combined so that your florentines cook evenly when they bake.
Spoon your mixture with a teaspoon onto a tray. Dip your finger in water & press down the mixture to slightly flatten & shape into circles.
Top Tip: Ensure to leave a generous amount of room between each spoonful as your florentines will spread a lot while baking.
Place into your preheated oven & bake for 8 minutes.
Once cooked set aside to cool. Your florentines should set hard.
Melt the orange chocolate in a heat-proof bowl over a pan of simmering water.
Using a knife, coat the bottom (smooth side) of each florentine with the melted chocolate & leave to set.
Repeat this until all of your florentines are covered.
Once you’re chocolate has set, simply enjoy!
