Important Safety Notice - October 2015

Please be aware, this is not a new safety notice, it was originally issued in 2015.

A small number of these fridge freezers have failed in use, due to a fault with the internal diverter unit. This can lead to overheating during use and, in some cases, there is a small risk of a fire developing, so we are taking the precautionary step of replacing the diverter units on all affected models. 



To confirm whether your product is affected by this issue, please check the model number and serial number displayed inside the fridge compartment on the left hand side behind the bottom tray.

Serial number can be found on the rating label, location shown below:


The serial number of the fridge freezers is 20 digits long, the production date can be recognised from digits in position 14 and 15.

Example: BC0C40E0C00BG77W0093  Production date 2007, July (7)

Products affected: all products which have the following digits in position 14 and 15:

71 / 72 / 73 / 74 / 75 / 76 / 77 / 78 / 79 / 7A / 7B / 7C / 81 / 82 / 83 / 84 / 85 / 86 / 87 / 88 / 89 / 8A / 8B / 8C

If you have the details of the new owner, please contact us and give us details, so we can contact them directly to arrange a FREE appointment.

Please have your model number available when contacting us.
You can continue to use the machine while you are waiting for your engineer visit, provided you follow the safety instructions provided with the machine.
