    FAQs

What is an integrated wine cooler?

Discreetly built-in to kitchen cabinets, usually tall housing, integrated wine coolers feature the same abilities as all wine coolers in that they control humidity, vibration and temperature to protect and preserve your collection.

Why should I choose an integrated wine cooler?

Integrated wine coolers are perfect for creating a cohesive aesthetic. They are also available in a variety of sizes and colours. Built-in appliances provide a premium, seamless look. So why not integrate your wine cooler as well? The WC6100 integrated wine coolers are designed to match our built-in cooking ranges to suit a linear or bank installation. All our built-in wine coolers have a plethora of features and include the distinct Caple design. These sophisticated wine fridges provide an easy solution to wine storage and serving.

Can you integrate a freestanding wine cooler?

The WF334 freestanding wine cooler cannot be integrated as the unit relies on top and side heat dispersion. It would overheat and adversely affect the performance if the vents were positioned against cabinets.

The WF1553 and WF1552 freestanding wine coolers, both of which utilise front heat dispersion, may be integrated with most large cabinets if the vents are correctly installed.

Always refer to the installation guidance when designing a wine cooler in a kitchen.

Can an integrated/ built-in wine cooler be used as freestanding?

Under-counter wine cabinets can be used as standalone units and do not require to be built-in to function. Whereas the built-in/integrated wine coolers are not suitable for freestanding use.

Does an integrated/ built-in wine cooler need ventilation?

Yes, all our wine coolers require ventilation to perform at their best. As integrated wine coolers are built-in to furniture housing, the correct ventilation must be used for the wine fridge to work correctly. Install the integrated wine fridge with a plinth grille to ensure adequate airflow

Wine coolers generate hot air. Therefore, without the correct ventilation, the air can’t escape. The hot air must be dispersed back into the room to prevent the wine cooler from failing.
